So long, and Thanks for All the Fish
For those of you who have no idea what the fish comment is all about, it is a reference to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series written by Douglas Adams. If you haven't read it, it is pretty funny, I would recommend it. If you enjoy science fiction with a humorous spin, you can find it on Amazon
The title of the book is a message left by the dolphins when they departed from the planet Earth just before it was demolished to make way for a hyperspatial express route.
But I digress... What I am getting at is that the Dolphin Hotel, after 25 years of hosting guests from around the world will no longer be opening it's doors as a hotel as of the summer of 2009. The reason for our departure is not quite as dramatic as the dolphins in the Douglas Adams novel, but in the spirit of change and progress, the building is being converted into family appartments for local residents.
To all our loyal guests, we say a big heartfelt thank you for being part of our lives and part of some great memories, we wish you all the best, and hope you continue to visit and enjoy our beautiful island.
